Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American cookbook author who has been awarded Emmy awards. She is the host of the longest-running Food Network show Barefoot Contessa. The show began in 2002. It is scheduled to air for 27 more seasons. Ina started her career with nuclear energy policy and budgets for the White House. Though she found the career intellectually stimulating initially eventually she stopped her pursuit and bought a tiny specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. It was a huge success for 18 years before she decided to let it go. After that, she started her first cookbook. The cookbooks were followed by many more, and magazines columns which came later. In the meantime, her Food Network television show too began its run and was an instant hit. She sells many items, from the ingredients needed for cooking, to kitchenware and storage. Ina, who is self-taught, has never studied at the culinary institute or at a hotel. Her relaxed approach to entertaining as well as her simple cooking style is well-known. Some of her best known recipes include the Skillet-Roasted lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
